Equine-assisted psychotherapy & nature-based therapy

Equine-assisted therapy and nature-based therapy are transformative approaches that harness the healing power of animals. By interacting with horses and engaging with the natural environment, individuals can experience emotional growth, improved mental health, and enhanced well-being. These therapies promote connection, mindfulness and self-discovery, making them valuable for people facing various challenges. Embrace the journey of healing through the soothing presence of horses and the tranquillity of nature.
Court-referred family and child-focused therapy
At Lungta, we understand the profound impact that high-conflict divorces and separations can have on children, often leading to estrangement or alignment with one parent. To address these challenges, we collaborate with "if...therapy" to provide specialised family therapy services that work alongside the court process across Scotland. Our experienced team offers individual therapy for parents and children, along with family and co-parent therapy, all tailored to the unique needs of each family. We aim to nurture healthier relationships and promote positivity for everyone involved. For a quote, please get in touch with Jackie Young via the link below:

RELATIONSHIp
BASED
Our relationship with you is of the highest importance to us as the healing of suffering begins with combining compassionate collaborative relationships, communicating possibilities and generating ethical and relational well-being.
Storytelling
Storytelling has been a fundamental part of human culture for centuries. It allows us to share our experiences, emotions, and perspectives in a way that resonates with others. We can create connections, foster empathy, and inspire action by telling our stories sharing our narratives, and inviting others to see the world through our eyes.. They evoke emotions and make complex ideas more relatable and understandable. Moreover, storytelling can be a powerful tool for creating change.
STRENGTHS BASED
Rather than focus on something being ‘wrong’ with you, We view your struggles in the context of what has happened to you, your circumstances and the life events you’ve encountered. We then help you develop new skills and build on your strengths, resources and potential.
FLEXIBLE AND RESPONSIVE
We understand that pressures on statutory services mean that it can feel difficult to obtain an appointment for yourself or your child in a timely manner. We aim to respond to all phone or email enquiries within 48 hours, and in most cases can offer an initial appointment within 5 working days. Our aim is to offer therapy that is responsive, compassionate, adaptable and works for a wide-range of people.
